Meet the people at Korsail

Wes Purinton
Wes provides support in all phases of utility-scale greenfield solar developments. His responsibilities range from land search, site selection, due diligence, negotiation, navigating the permitting process, coordinating with contractors and consultants, managing budgets, scheduling, and overseeing construction. Taking the project from inception to COD.
He brings four years of experience in real estate development and commercial brokerage to the team. Wes holds a B.S. in Business Administration with an emphasis in Finance and a minor in Economics from the University of Colorado Boulder.

Justin Higgins
Justin brings value to the Korsail team by providing support during the real estate-related stages of developing new solar projects. His role involves a variety of duties, including site selection and land procurement, conducting due diligence, negotiating purchase and lease agreements with property owners, ensuring project compliance with permitting and zoning requirements, and assisting the team with project off-take.
Justin attained his bachelor’s degree in Economics from the University of Colorado Boulder and has three years of experience working in multifamily and industrial real estate brokerage.

Jean'Paul Bernard
Jean’ Paul is responsible for origination, offtake, and regulatory efforts that drive the development of utility-scale and distributed generation (DG) solar and storage (hybrid) projects. He structures power purchase agreements and develops offtake solutions to maximize project value. From project inception through Commercial Operation Date (COD), Jean’ Paul focuses on de-risking investments, optimizing financial structures, and delivering bankable projects that contribute to the clean energy transition.
Additionally, he conducts ongoing market research and stays informed on developments within the markets that Korsail operates in, enabling effective navigation of policy changes and market dynamics.
Jean’ Paul brings two years of experience in Land Management to the Korsail team. He holds a B.S. in Business Administration with an emphasis in Finance from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette.

Daniel Rivera-Ibarra
Daniel leads Korsail’s offtake and business development strategy, working at the intersection of energy markets, policy, and customer engagement to advance utility-scale and distributed generation solar and storage projects. He identifies strategic opportunities through market research, policy tracking, and RFP participation, while structuring and negotiating power purchase agreements with utilities, cooperatives, and public power agencies. His work focuses on delivering tailored clean energy solutions that meet decarbonization goals, mitigate risk, and support long-term energy planning.
Daniel brings five years of experience in renewable energy, pairing market insight with a strong understanding of the evolving energy landscape.
His role is central to Korsail’s mission of building reliable, cost-effective renewable energy partnerships across the country. He holds a B.S. in Finance from the University of Colorado Denver.

Alison Dilworth
Alison adds value to the Korsail team by providing industry knowledge and experience. Alison supports the team with early stage development through land search, assisting & coordinating with the land team on a daily basis & aiding in our overall business development.
Alison has a B.A. in Environmental Science from the University of Colorado Boulder. She has over three year of experience in the solar industry specializing in contracts and project management.

George Geroulis
George contributes to all phases of Korsail’s utility scale, greenfield solar development process. His responsibilities include applying GIS in executing land searches, and site selection, conducting Environmental Site Assessments, negotiating deals, collaborating with contractors and landowners, and supervising construction. He ensures projects develop seamlessly from inception through Commercial Operation Date (COD).
George holds his B.S. in Natural Resources and Environmental Science, with an Energy and Sustainability Fellowship, along with a minor in Business Administration from the University of Illinois. He has worked as an Environmental Consultant and in commercial real estate.

Shelbie Hand
Shelbie holds a B.S. in Business Management from Capella University and brings over four years of experience in the renewable energy sector. With a decade of leadership experience, she has successfully developed greenfield wind projects, managed public affairs, spearheaded marketing efforts, and contributed to 300+ MW projects.
Shelbie also had hands-on involvement in the construction phase of a Michigan wind project, showcasing her diverse skill set and commitment to the industry’s advancement.

Cameron Schuler
Cameron supports the Korsail team in the solar development process by conducting land search, environmental site assessments, performing due diligence and ensuring project compliance with permitting and zoning requirements.
Cameron graduated from the University of Alabama with a B.S. in Environmental Science and a minor in Spanish. He has four years of experience as an environmental consultant in the construction industry.

Kethelyn Papp
Kethelyn is currently supporting Korsail in project management and permit application processes for utility-scale greenfield solar developments. She holds an M.S in International Business from George Washington University and has three years of experience in the energy and commercial construction sectors.
She has provided programmatic support for energy and water efficiency, energy security and resiliency, and infrastructure projects for Army National Guard bases, as well as hospitals and office buildings throughout the east coast. She is particularly passionate about the renewable energy industry, and has specialized decarbonization research experience, which she acquired while living in Santiago, Chile.
Kethelyn speaks Hungarian and Spanish fluently, and French at an intermediate level. Kethelyn strives to incorporate sustainable and ethical practices in combination with innovative technology and data science into effective solutions for modern, global challenges.

Paul Fraser
Paul contributes to the development team in all phases of the greenfield utility scale solar development process. He utilizes his experience working with Geographic Information Systems (GIS) software’s to engage land campaigns and take projects from inception to Commercial Operation Date (COD). Paul assists in site selection, project due diligence, and engaging with offtake partners. Paul brings strong communication, knowledge, problem solving skills, and a passion for renewable energy development to the team.
Paul holds a B.A. in Environmental Science with a Political Science Minor from Colorado College. He has previous experience working with GIS in the renewable energy industry, and has worked in the industry since graduating in 2024.

Claudia Smithie
Claudia recently graduated from New York University with a BA in Environmental Studies.
She brings experience in clean energy and technology, with skills in market and policy research, communications and public engagement. As part of the Permitting team, Claudia conducts due diligence on new project acquisition opportunities, origination and lease negotiations, manages projects through local and federal permitting, and assists with project marketing and sales. She is excited to use her background in solar policy analysis to support the team’s project and business development efforts.

Darren Boelen
Darren supports the Korsail team by providing expertise in land title knowledge and offering various developmental assistance to help the team achieve its goals and meet deadlines.
With over twenty years of experience in the Oil and Gas industry, Darren has a strong background in title research for both surface and mineral interests, due diligence, leasing, right of way acquisitions, and damage settlement negotiations.
In addition to his extensive Oil and Gas experience, Darren also has a year and a half of experience working on two large wind acquisition projects in Montana.

Rohan Patil
Rohan aids the Korsail team by overseeing the technical aspects of our solar and storage projects. He supports the development of greenfield solar and storage projects from initial feasibility studies, through preliminary design and interconnections, and on to commercial operation.
Rohan holds a MSE in Energy Engineering with a specialization in Solar Engineering from the University of Massachusetts Lowell. His professional background encompasses expertise in Interconnection Applications, Electrical Engineering, and Power Plant Maintenance.

Saivedh Ganga
Saivedh contributes to Korsail Energy’s mission by facilitating the interconnection of solar and storage projects to the grid. As a Distribution Interconnection Engineer, he navigates utility interconnection processes, ensures regulatory compliance, and
optimizes the grid integration strategies. He also drafts site layouts and line diagrams to support project planning and execution.
Saivedh recently graduated with a Master of Science in Energy Systems from Northeastern University, where he focused on renewable energy technologies and grid interconnections. With a strong technical background and a passion for clean energy,
he is dedicated to developing efficient and reliable interconnection solutions that drive the growth of renewable energy infrastructure.

Matt Harahush
Matt supports the Korsail team by providing bookkeeping support. His duties include financial recordkeeping and reporting for all Korsail projects.
Matt holds a B.S. in Business Administration from Christopher Newport University and brings 10 years of accounting and finance experience to the team.

Liz Cohan
Liz supports our daily success by ensuring smooth office operations & marketing strategies for Korsail. Her role involves a variety of responsibilities including social media outreach, recruiting, coordinating the services & duties of various personnel within or outside of the organization, managing our inbound calls, calendars & bookkeeping.
Liz holds a B.A. in Public Relations from Western Michigan University. She has four years of experience as an administrator and over eight years of experience in the financial industry.

Ruby Rosas
Ruby supports the team for all things administrative to ensure that the team has what they need on a day to day basis. Some of the responsibilities include client outreach, research for potential clients and managing inbound and outbound calls.
Ruby holds a BFA in Fashion Merchandising from The Academy of Art University in San Francisco where she honed in on her professional clientele experience. With over ten years of customer service and five years of administrative experience, Ruby is a natural people-person.

Matt La Rocca
Matt provides administrative support to both our Land Search and Project Management team with a collaborative approach to ensure all our projects reach their goals and stay on track to meet their deadlines.
Matt holds a B.S. in Entertainment Business Management from the University of Central Florida and has over five years of experience in sales, client relations, and software implementations.
