We understand we are guests in the communities that host us. As such, we carefully consider community needs during development and remain committed to establishing a trustworthy presence within each community. As part of that commitment to transparency and community partnership, we have hosted and will continue to host various informational events, including town halls, to support the development process.

Economic Opportunity
Herbie Solar expects to create 300 jobs during construction and 2-3 long-term maintenance jobs.
This project is expected to produce enough energy to power 24,000 American homes annually.
Korsail prioritizes hiring locally and looks forward to hosting job fairs and contributing to future growth and opportunity in Cochise County.
Community & Environmental Health
Korsail considers many factors when siting a solar and storage project, resulting in facilities that minimize obstruction and maximize opportunity for local communities.
Before siting and development, Korsail Energy conducts wildlife, wetland, and cultural resource studies to ensure the area of interest poses no threat to the health and safety of the existing ecosystem.
Working with the US Fish and Wildlife Service, Korsail Energy conducts extensive pre-construction surveys to identify migratory corridors, nesting areas, and other important wildlife habitats and patterns.

Herbie Solar will provide reliable and cost-efficient energy, increasing the grid’s reliability and decreasing reliance on foreign energy sources.
Solar projects like Herbie help create long- and short-term jobs, many requiring skilled labor in construction, operations, and maintenance. This creates additional employment and income-generating opportunities for communities.
Projects will generate indirect economic benefits to local gas stations, grocery stores, hotels, and more during construction and development.
With little noise or light pollution, solar is minimally disruptive and offers significant community and landowner benefits.

Siting and Construction
Korsail considers many factors when siting a solar and storage project, resulting in facilities that minimize obstruction and environmental impact.
The Herbie Solar project will be constructed in flat, dry areas conveniently located next to existing utility infrastructure and away from residences.
This project is located away from prime farmland in and will not be visible from public roads or non-participating private residences.
