Project Overview

Korsail Energy is developing a solar power facility integrated with battery storage in Washington County, Colorado.

The Project is located on non-irrigated, privately owned land that is not currently farmed. Cottonwood’s development and construction will boost the local economy by creating new jobs while minimizing impacts on existing land uses. Over its 50-year lifetime, the Project will deliver significant long-term benefits, including permanent jobs and substantial property tax revenue for the county.

Point of Interconnection

The Point of Interconnection will be to the Colorado Power Pathways transmission line, directly on the project site.

Land Use

The Project will be developed on non-irrigated private land that is not currently used for farming.

Project Lifespan

The Project lifespan is 50 years, after which the land will be reclaimed and restored to agricultural use.

Job Creation

Approximately 300 jobs will be created during construction, with 2-3 being permanent during operation.
